The Skegness & Horncastle Group of the Ramblers' Association was formed on 1 January 2015 by the merger of the Skegness Group (formed 1991) and the Horncastle Group (formed 1982) Our group is 1 of 10 in Lincolnshire. Covering the eastern part of the county the group has 105 parishes in its area and covers the area of east Lincolnshire with Theddlethorpe in the north, Wragby in the West and Friskney in the south, and includes the major towns of Skegness, Horncastle, Mablethorpe, Alford and Spilsby. The group has a  diverse membership of approximately 70 people. We organise a programme of walks in the east of Lincolnshire throughout the year and cater for all ages and abilities with walks ranging in length from 4 to 11 miles. Generally the walking pace is around 2 miles per hour. A packed lunch and drinks should be brought on day walks of 10 miles.
