WALK FROM WRAGBY
Sunday 29th April 2007
Setting off at 10.30 am from Wragby Market Place, a
group of 17 walkers enjoyed a circular 'figure of 8' walk to Chamber's
Farm Wood making use of public footpaths, minor roads and permissive
footpaths.
The walk began cool and cloudy, taking us south to
Little Langley then east to Hoop Lane. We then passed Langton Hill Farm
and used a permissive path to enter Sykes Wood. Using the waymarked 'Red
Route' we circled round clockwise to the Chamber's Farm Wood picnic site.
As
we stopped for lunch, the sun came out for the
start of a gloriously sunny afternoon.
Following lunch, we followed part of the waymarked
'White Route' and a permissive path to again pass Langton Hill Farm.
Heading north-east along a bridleway we turned off to use another
permissive path to Low Langton and then a path to Langton by Wragby.
From
Langton by Wragby we
continued on back to Wragby using the public footpath past Badgermoor Wood,
arriving back in the Market Place at 3.15 pm.
