WHERE TO REPORT THE PROBLEM

If a problem is encountered with a Public Footpath in the East Lincolnshire area, either report it directly to the appropriate local authority below or complete the Path Problem Report Form on the Ramblers' Association National Web Site. Give as much information as possible including:

What the problem is,

Where the problem is,

When the problem was encountered.

The historic county of Lincolnshire between the Humber Estuary and The Wash is now divided between 3 local authorities. The Unitary Authority of Lincolnshire (North) covers the extreme North of the county while the Unitary Authority of Lincolnshire (North-East) covers the area around Grimsby. Lincolnshire County Council is by far the largest of the authorities and covers the remainder of the county. The Highways and Planning Directorate of LCC, the body responsible for public rights of way, is divided into 4 divisional offices and rights of way problems should be reported to the appropriate divisional office.

The table below gives the 4 relevant addresses to which footpath problems should be reported within the area covered by this web site. Under each address is a list of parishes which fall within the responsibility of that address.

For footpath problems in the following list of parishes contact: LCC Highways & Planning Directorate, East Lindsey Divisional Office, Manby Middlegate, Grimoldby, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 8SU or report by completing the on-line report form on the Lincolnshire County Council website.
